Beautiful summernight!
It is July 24. We are five women who have just completed or soon will turn even years. We are invited to spend a day with food, wine tasting and herbal Spa.
It is one of summer's most beautiful days. The Fireweed grows tall and lush and defiantly we women are not far behind in luminosity. We have grown up and gone to school together.
We are welcomed champagne, melon and strawberries and are standing for a long time in the sun, happy to find ourselves in the middle of this beautiful summer day. Together we will arrange lunch, Greek salad with delicious bread and to that we will taster three organic white wines. It is luxurious, festive and no strings attached!
We enjoy our long lunch until we realize that if we are to keep up with the rest of the program, we have to hurry up and go out to pick herbs for our body treatment. We mix creams and oils and then we alternate sauna with herbal treatment. Five happy nymphs in a euphoric symphony.
Dinner consisting of fillet of beef, cauliflower puree and additional wine to be tested. We sit with coffee and chocolate when the driver shows up. We will transferring us to a village close by to see a performance by Claes Janson, a performance. Once back at my summer paradise I am drawn as always to the water. Summer Night, Norrbotten, "pulingska" summer night, so hard to describe, so special with its light, its smell, its stillness and so breafly that I get overwhelmed every year when I discovered it again.
