Solberget Wilderness Retreat
Solberget Wilderness Retreat is situated directly on the Arctic Circle, near the nature reserves “Granlandet”, “Päivavuoma” and “Pellokiellas”, and close to the “Muddus” National Park. Here, nature can be experienced in its purest form – far away from civilisation.
The wilderness retreat and its close surroundings offer an insight into the unspoilt wilderness of Lapland, providing a variety of options for different tours and activities. With the next house about 20 kilometres away, you will find nature at its purest.
Look forward to a daytrip in the magic scenery when nature is covered in snow. You can use wooden skis, go by dogsled or visit some snow sculptures. Sit comfortably on one of our reindeer sleds and let the animals, which have an excellent training, pulliyou over frozen swamps and lakes.
Depending on the time of the year, we will explore nature on foot or on ski, visit deserted farms, places of historic and cultural interest as well as several natural reserves in the vicinity of Solberget.
Another highlight is the delicious salmon, which is prepared stone age-style in birch bark.
