Dogsled tour; Everyday life of a musher
An exclusive excursion where you get an insight in a musher’s exciting everyday life by helping your guide and prepare a tour to an isolated wilderness camp located far off the beaten track. Transfer and a traditional wilderness lunch served in a wilderness camp are included.
The starts at the kennel where you, together with the musher, prepare your dog sled team for take-off. The journey will take you through the snow covered, arctic landscape to a warm and cozy wilderness camp far from the civilisation where a generous wilderness lunch is served.
Throughout the journey your experienced guide will answer all your questions about dogs, equipment, expeditions and competitions. The tours are arranged by two of the world's most well renowned kennels, run by Kenth Fjellborg and Taisto Thornéus.
Departures: Daily 11 am about 4 to 4.5 hours approx. 25-30 km. Approx. 3 to 3.5 hours tour with the dog sled.
Info: Dog sledding with 12 dogs and with a sled for 4 participants, one guide per dog sled team. Lunch served in a wilderness camp. The tour starts at ICEHOTEL and ends with transfer from the kennel to ICEHOTEL.
