A small, cosy and traditional hotel which received its first guests in 1928. Hotel Akerlund with its restaurant and century-old cultural scene is a natural meeting place in central Jokkmokk.

The restaurant offers tasty dishes, such as dishes from reindeer and game, locally caught fish and berries from forests and mountain bogs. Around Christmas time, locally produced, traditional and Lappish treats are served. This is something special to look forward to.

In 2016 the entire main floor of the hotel was completely renovated. Rooms designed for disabled persons, a new reception area and a nice porch perfect for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee were added.

It’s possible to buy necessities and locally produced handicraft at the reception.

Hotel Akerlund, which has its own restaurant, is located in the centre of Jokkmokk close to shops, parks and other restaurants.
