Newly renovated hostel Villa Åsgård Guesthouse is beautifully located in central Jokkmokk.
The hostel was built in the 1920’s for the Domänverket (forestry works) as accommodation for its forest ranger. The old forester home is beautifully located on a ridge in the middle of Jokkmokk, with walking distances to most of the town. Shops, sights, handicraft, tourist information and restaurants can be found just around the corner. A bus stop is located just beside the site and the Inland Railway passes a few hundred meters away. In January 2013, the interior of Åsgård was renovated and new furniture was added. The rooms are light and cozy.

The restaurant can serve 50 seated guests, and on the porch there is room for another 20 guests during the summer. The dining area is pleasant and bright, they have full serving rights and all the food that comes out of the kitchen is cooked and prepared with true care. The restaurant also serve breakfast buffet during peak seasons and for booked groups. Lunches and dinners can be arranged if ordered in advance.
