The wilderness exhibition is filled with over 680 animals which are preserved and presented in carefully designed scenes in their natural surroundings.

The exhibition is totally 1820 m2 and contains 11 rooms, each one with its own theme, for example “Autumn”, “Summerland” and “Winterland”.

When you step into Summerland from Winterland, you’re welcomed by a wave of warm air, just like it should be at the height of summer here in Sweden.

Autumn is the first room you’ll see when you enter the Wilderness Exhibition. Here are Sweden’s five largest predators shown. The lynx, wolf, bear, wolverine and the two big eagle species, the Sea Eagle and Golden Eagle.

Winterland shows the animals in a beautiful white environment and the winter cold can be felt all year round thanks to a powerful cooling system that lowers the temperature. Even in the middle of Summer, the temperature can be zero degrees Celcius.

When you step into Summerland from Winterland, you’re welcomed by a wave of warm air, just like it should be at the height of summer here in Sweden. You can also smell the summer trees. In this room, the animals have switched to summer colors and you can spot both a moose calf and a reindeer calf.

During summer, end of June – middle of August, the exhibition is open for drop-ins, which means you do not have to book to visit this marvelous exhibition. After enjoying the scenery inside the exhibition walls, a wilderness buffet is served outside, over open fire. Taste moose, reindeer and arctic char, locally produced potatoes vegetables and the tasteful jam. Bread, beverage and coffee is included.
