Cross Country Skiing; Try Out The Wonders Of Ski-Trekking Off The Beaten Track
Discover the wonders of cross-country skiing, carving your own fresh tracks in virgin snow in Swedish Lapland.
Whether you're an old hand on skis or have never touched a pair before, cross-country skiing on broad forest skis introduces you to the magic of the snow. Skiing off the beaten track gives you freedom to explore and experience nature in a quiet and peaceful way as you make your own tracks in the soft, deep and friendly snow. After a while we might have a coffee and a sandwich on the banks of River Torne before we carry on.
We will collect you from your accommodation at 9 am. At Arctic Circle Experience HQ, you will change in to clothing suitable for skiing. Then we will ski for 1 - 3 km, mainly on flat land and on the thick ice of River Torne, but the duration and details of the tour can vary according to the experience of the participants and the prevailing weather conditions and cold. We will deliver you back to your accommodation around 1 pm.
Due to weather conditions this activity is usually too strenuous for children under 12, but depending on the size of the group, we can vary it according to individual needs.
The price is SEK 630 per person for groups between 2 and 8 persons; children aged up to 15 pay half price.
The price includes; English-speaking guide, transport by car/minibus from and back to your accommodation, loan of equipment, coffee and a small sandwich.
Activities can be booked for December - April.
