Dundret is a dream for skiers with miles and miles of cross-country trails, tour skiing, well-groomed runs and a comfortable six-chair lift that take you all the way to the top in less than 4 minutes. This winter wonderland offers 7 months of snow, from November to the middle of May, so it’s easy to understand how this destinations has become popular with all types of skiers.

Although – there is absolutely no reason to feel intimidated. At Dundret you can learn the basics at your own pace together with a ski instructor. Both downhill and cross-country, suitable for little ones and grown-ups alike. Or strap on a pair of snowshoes and simply walk across the snow exploring at your own desire.

Northern Lights from the top

In Swedish Lapland, the Northern Lights are visible from late August to April. Dundret is situated on a perfect location for you to enjoy the magical display of dancing colours in the sky. Hop on the chair lift Dundret Express to the top, and before you know it you have a great view over Gällivare city below and mountain ranges on the horizon.

Away from artificial lights this is a perfect spot for watching the phenomena on clear nights. And the mountain lodge Fjällstugan offers warmth and hot drinks whilst on the top.

Taste the Arctic

The Hotel at Dundret offers comfortable accommodation with all activities on your doorstep. Try dogsledding or go on a snowmobile tour to explore the surroundings. After a day full of adventures you are well deserving of a hearty meal with a great view. The restaurant makes sure that you get to taste the local flavours such as reindeer and game fish. By plane: Lapland Airport (15 min from Dundret) as well as nearby airports in Kiruna and Luleå.
By train: Train station (10 minutes from Dundret Björnfällan).
By car: 94 km from Jokkmokk, 122 km from Kiruna,
260 km from Torneå, 240 km from Luleå.
By snowmobile: The Malmvägen snowmobile trail (Iron Ore Trail) will take you all the way to the mountain.
