In a beautiful parkland located next to the Pite River…
…lies Furunäset Hotell & Konferens, which was built in 1893 and designed by Axel Kumlien, the same architect to design the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. This is a family driven hotel which has 2 suites and 35 rooms which are all spacious and with grand high ceilings.
Besides Furunäsets location and architecture it’s the hotels unique history that attracts people to stay there. For almost a century this striking building was a mental hospital and an asylum, housing about 800 patients at a time. The adjacent establishments such as the restaurant Doktorsvillan, which lies in what used to be the Doctors housing, and Heta Hyttan, the glass blowing business in the asylums old brewery, all work together with the hotel to give you a well-rounded experience.
The facilities are popular with groups and conferences since the hotel has eight conference rooms, one of which fits 130 people. The hotel offers a relaxation area and on-demand spa treatments, as well as activities such as guided tours about Furunäsets history and beer-tasting.
A conference centre, embedded in a huge green park next to the Pite river with the city of Piteå just a stroll away. Furunäset provide a very nice relaxation area and the generous rooms with their arched windows convey the feeling of tranquillity and harmony. Leave your everyday worries behind and think about yourself for a while. Breathe out, come to peace and open your mind.
Welcome to a peaceful oasis and enjoy sauna, spa treatments and delicious food in a stimulating environment. Furunäset hotell & konferens is beautifully situated and has fantastic architecture and great service.
