Sweden’s northernmost ski resort – Riksgränsen – is located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle.

The hotel is the heart of Riksgränsen, centrally located only 100 metres from the ski lifts and train station. The hotel contains a reception, the Lapplandia Restaurant, a sportshop, conference rooms, doctor and sports department, as well as a spa overlooking the Vassijaure. Here, you will find hotel rooms with 1-3 beds, as well as smaller ski rooms with 1-4 beds. A buffet breakfast and bed linen is included in all rooms. although you need to tidy up yourself in the Ski-rooms.
Meteorologen Ski Lodge
Located in the centre of Riksgränsen and directly connected to the hotel is Meteorologen Ski Lodge. It is housed in the old custom building that underwent a painstaking make over to a snug and cosy ski lodge, and today Meteorologen has been named one of Sweden’s five best hotels, by Swedish travel magazine RES. Meteorologen has 14 rooms of varying sizes. Each room has its own character and décor. Some of the rooms look out over the slopes of Riksgränsfjället and some rooms have an airy view of Lake Vassijaure and the peaks of the Norwegian mountains. All rooms have a high level of comfort, with flat screen TVs and beds from Hästens. Meteorologen’s restaurant which seats 28 guests, serves fine cuisine and drinks from a well-stocked, especially selected wine and beer list.
The apartments are found within the hotel premises and are perfect for families who prefer the self-catering option, or groups of friends who want to look after themselves and focus on skiing during their stay at Riksgränsen. The apartments offer 3-6 beds, together with a kitchen, toilet, shower, drying cupboard and wardrobe. Directly connected to the apartments are the Restaurant Lapplandia, the bar, Grönan, and the SPA.
Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge
There, you can literally stay in the middle of the wilderness whilst also enjoying the good life, including a sauna, gourmet cuisine and a crackling fire.
Stay at Sweden’s highest mountain station, 1,228 metres above sea level. The Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge is the pearl of the mountain world and lies in a spectacular location between two peaks, 15 kilometres from Riksgränsen. Just outside the door you will find many fine ski runs and off-piste skiing to choose from. Those who just want to take it easy can relax with a book in the large cabin, or enjoy the summer sun atop a reindeer fur. The Mountain Lodge has 10 rooms for up to 18 guests, who will enjoy a comfortable stay in single or double rooms.
It also features a restaurant, bar, large cabin, sauna and toilets/showers.
Hostel Riksgränsen is also located a stone’s throw from the hotel and train station. The hostel offers rooms with 1-4 beds with TV, shower and WC in each room. There is also a gym, sauna and a large and well equipped kitchen. Wireless internet access is included in all accommodations.
