Explore Årrenjarka’s beautiful surroundings by snowshoes on this guided half-day hike.
Walking with snowshoes is easy and makes this beautiful area accessible for everyone. You and your guide head out across the frozen lake and admire the stunning midwinter views of the surrounding mountains. The natural beauty of this remote area is breathtaking, and the soft glow of the midwinter daylight colours the mountains and hillsides in pastel shades. There is a good chance of seeing the tracks of moose and reindeer, maybe even the animals themselves, as they eat branches and twigs from the trees at the lakeside.
You make a stop along the trail to make a warming fire and brew a pan of steaming hot tea. Your local guide tell stories about the history of this area and legends about people who have lived their lives here, in this silent wilderness. You head back to Årrenjarka before darkness falls.
Pre-booking is essential.
