The winter has arrived and the dogs are eager to pull us out in to the wilderness.
We move along frozen rivers and beautiful pine tree-forests that are shimmering white. You will have your own team of 4-6 huskies and we travel with the dogs around 20-60 km per day depending on the group and weather conditions.
The first day you will meet the huskies and get a chance to learn more about these remarkable animals. You will pack the sleds and then harness the dogs. Before you start the journey you will get instructions from the guide how to mush and take care of your own team of 4-5 dogs.
The only sounds that can be heard are the breathing of the dogs and the noise of their feet on the snow.
Lunch will be served outside and before nightfall you will arrive at the timber cottage where we will spend the night. The only sounds that can be heard are the breathing of the dogs and the noise of their feet on the snow. The day ends with a nice home cooked meal before settling down to sleep.
After about 2 days of mushing you will all feel that you got the hang of it. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. You move along frozen rivers, deep forests and on shimmering white mires. You stop after a while to warm up our bodies with a nice soup, made over the fire. You end the day back at husky camp where you take care of the dogs and then enjoy a dinner and a night in the timber lodge.
