This website is produced by Swedish Lapland Visitors One of my favorite places is Trollsjön (Troll Lake) between Björkliden and Riksgränsen. The hike there is magical and I try to make it at least once every year. This lake is the most beautiful place to take a break and have some “fika”. The lake looks different everytime I visit. This summer there were ice on the lake even though it was mid-July and the warmest day of the summer.

Abisko National Park in Swedish Lapland offers perhaps some of the best conditions in the world for Northern Lights. Since 1605, for over 400 years, Jokkmokk’s wonderful Winter Market has been held annually beginning on the first Thursday in February. Attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the world, the market remains the foremost meeting place for Sámi peoples across the entire Sápmi region.
